苍蝇（fly）
苍蝇掉进一口盛着肉汤的瓦锅里，快要被淹死时，他自言自语说：“我已经吃饱了，喝足了，洗过澡了，即使死了我也不遗憾。”
寓意：人们容易忍受无痛苦的死。

蚂蚁（ant）
很久很久以前，蚂蚁本来是人，他们有田可耕，有地可种。但他们不满足于自己劳动所得，不愿辛勤劳作，却很羡慕别人的东西，经常去偷邻居的果实。宙斯对他们的贪婪感到气愤，便把他们变成了现在称之为蚂蚁的小动物。虽然他们的模样改变了，本性却依然如旧，直到现在他们仍在别人的田里走来走去，拾捡小麦和大麦，贮存在自己的窝里。
寓意：本性恶劣的人，即使受到了最严厉的惩罚，恶习也不会改变。
